In my youth I spent many summer days...and often nights..designing and sewing my wardrobe for the next school year. I don't sew like that anymore but I do like to make the odd purse or jacket. This week I made a cool hobo bag out of a jacket that I bought at a yard sale. The jacket had tabs, pockets and buttons that I incorporated into the design. And naturally I embellished it with beads. The pattern is an on-line freebie from http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/.

Fiber Arts
My first crafting love was (and probably always will be) sewing. I cannot pass a lovely piece of fabric without stroking it and sometimes even giving it a hug. I love the colors and feel of fabric. So, of course, I collect fabric...not because I have a vision for it but because I have to own that little piece of art.
